PRIMA

Overview

Prima is a leading manufacturer and software design company of equipment required for the auto body repair of the 21st century vehicle. Their products are state of the art and sold throughout the world. The requirement for safer and more fuel efficient vehicles occurred in Europe years before North America. Government mandates and fuel prices have now forced these change the in the US. This requires lighter weight vehicles with major structural design changes using a variety of new material with closer tolerances, forcing changes in equipment and repair procedures. The OEMs have had to implement programs wherein their certified/approved shop are required to have equipment meeting certain specification and new training procedures. Similar to Euro shops but body shops can select the equipment as long as it meets the OEM specifications.

Prima not only met these requirements, they exceeded them. They recognized that these changes required equipment with state of art reliable microprocessors capable of accepting software upgrades. They knew techs would need to learn new repair procedures. Prima designed their application software programs to eliminate as much user training as possible. For example: Prima introduced the multi Torch MIG-MAG, MMA, TIG 5-1 welder 8 years before FORD required Pulse welders for Aluminum. However when Ford chose to use 5554
wire in a 1.2MM, Prima developed a software program for 5554 in 1.2MM to eliminate the need for more training on their welder. The tech selects the program, set the material thickness and welds. Same as with other programs.

Prima has been through the body shop learning curve and understand that lower priced application driven software solutions with the least amount of training was needed. Prima: SOLUTION; Prima 190. The next Generation MIG-MAG, MMA, ETC 5-1 welder with required software (pulse) for FORD, HONDA, CHRYSER, etc for under $3,000.00. The Multi 190 is set up with some 20 different applications including aluminum 5554 1.2MM, And silicon and magnesium plus brazing with MIXED and ARGON gas, steel, TIG, ETC by type
and wire size. The application software includes features like quick start with amperage and timing adjustments. Techs can adjust amperage/wire speed and arch length. The 190, like the Multi 204 has a synchronized encoder to ensure constant amperage and wire speed with up to plus or minus 30 volt power fluctuations. The Multi 204 encoder is set for 40 Volt fluctuations.

Other examples of why Prima leads the way with quality user friendly equipment Their spot welders have 13,000 amps and 560 daN with Robotic arms for a ZERO weight gun. Aluminum & Steel repair kits are made from Carbon Fiber. Light weight, smooth surfaces and strong. The welders and repair tools are compatible with other systems and each tool is priced at kit price.

For support Prima recognized equipment distributors do not have the ability to repair a microprocessor and that techs can easily remove and replace microprocessor boards. The Cost of repair can be less than the cost of shipping a welder. By using error codes and the internet remote diagnostics can easily be performed. Overnight parts exchange saves time and insures the lowest cost in the shortest amount of time.

Prima has the required software features and expertise to set up the required programs to meet the changing needs. Features like double pulse were developed because the industry requires it. Even with single pulse other software is used and must be programed to insure a quality weld. Application software designed by Prima with experience is used to eliminate ongoing training. Buy from a company who not only manufactures the hardware but develops and designs the software. The required changes are just beginning for the 21st Century vehicle.
